Let Us Save You From Boring Training

Let’s face it, most online training makes the learner feel like this ….

Training

I am here to plead the case for your team! Please, stop the monotony of online training. It is a waste of time for them and you!

Boring online training is now a symptom of the past. Do you want a well-informed team who are productive and help your business drive sales? Then your employees not only need training but they need to be thoroughly engaged in their training. An engaged employee is a productive employee. A productive employee will not only lessen your headache but cultivate a satisfying work environment where success is an inevitable outcome.

So how does one create online training that is both engaging and fun? Here at Reach You, we believe in the philosophy of Optimal Learning, which is a space where the learner’s behavior is forever changed by the knowledge they have gained. The operative word is behavior! When a learner reaches Optimal Learning, their behavior in the workplace is more efficient, structured, cooperative, organized, and thoughtful. So how does one reach Optimal Learning? We see this as a 4 step process.

Optimal Learning in 4 Steps:

  1. Brain Spark: First and foremost, the learning should spark users’ mind, peak their interests, and allow learners to draw from prior experiences in order to prepare them for the next phase of learning.  This can be accomplished with reflective questioning, collaborative discussion boards, application-based activities, and engaging interactions.
  2. Engaging Instruction: In the next step, learners must be inundated with engaging instruction that relates to the real world.  Here at Reach You we do this with fun interactions where the learner has a choice in their learning.  We also engage them with hi-def multimedia presentations, videos, and web tools.
  3. Application-Based Activity: After new knowledge has been consumed, the learner needs to apply that knowledge to an interactive application-based activity.  We see this as one of the most valuable parts of the learning. This phase is often referred to in education circles as “Learning by Doing.” These application-based activities need to be real-world related in order to be relevant and practical for the learner.  Reach You Education accomplishes this task through collaborative work, differentiated learning, interactive games, engaging formative assessments, project-based learning, and scenario-based learning.
  4. Real World Reflective Practice: Finally, as multiple studies have shown, no one can truly learn deeply without reflection.  In this last phase, learners will do some real-world reflective practice and check-in with their emotions. They will answer questions such as: How does this new knowledge impact my life, work, or community?  How can I implement what I have learned to enhance my performance? This stage of learning can be created through collaborative discussion, critical-thinking questions, and formal summative assessments.

These specific steps when combined create a portal for the peak of optimal learning.  Your learners will walk away with a feeling of success. And simply put, as your learners begin to feel more accomplished your team’s productivity will inevitably increase.  You will not only see your learners’ performance and behavior enhanced but you will also create a more positive and reflective working environment. Don’t waste any more money on monotonous training courses and materials. Hire a company which will boost your team’s behavior and performance.
